Chael Sonnen returns to Canadian TV, calls out Jon Jones

Just before the holiday weekend, UFC contender and first class heel Chael Sonnen returned to "Off the Record," the Canadian television show that saw Sonnen storm off the set during his last appearance. Though this appearance wasn't as eventful, Sonnen still delivered another classic interview.

It's worth watching the entire 12-minute clip, but if you're crunched for time, watch the beginning two minutes to see Sonnen and host Michael Landsberg discuss Sonnen's last appearance, then skip to the nine-minute mark to hear Sonnen call out UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones.

Jones responded via Twitter, "Someone tell Chael he knows where I'll be waiting."

Landsberg also calls out Sonnen's act as the interview draws to a close, which appears to flummox the self-described champ. Would you like to see Sonnen take on Jones? Tell us in the comments or on Facebook.

Jacob Volkmann takes on President Obama again at UFC 141

LAS VEGAS - The last time Jacob Volkmann tried to make a political statement about the President it resulted in some uncomfortable times for the UFC fighter. Apparently, Volkmann is a glutton for punishment or simply wants to exercise his right to speak freely because he fanned the flames again tonight at UFC 141.

After his victory over Danny Castillo, Volkmann asked UFC analyst Joe Rogan if he could say two things. The first was an attempt to call out the UFC lightweight champion.

"Frankie [Edgar], work on your takedown defense. I'm comin and I'm taking you down," said Volkmann.

Next he turned his attention to President Barack Obama.

"Obama needs a glassectomy. Ask me what a glassectomy is, Joe," said Volkmann.

Rogan obliged.

"It's where they remove the belly button and put a piece of glass in there so you can see what you're doing while your head's up your [expletive]," said Volkmann.

Rogan gave the fighter a strange look and the quip went over like a lead balloon with the crowd in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

[ Related: Lesnar's retirement blindsides White ]

In a postfight interview, Volkmann explained why he took on the President again.

"The whole thing is a joke. He's a joke of a President and I'm just trying to get the point across that his decisions are based on ... it's not based on facts, it's based on who pays him the most money ... it seems like. He's not thinking things through enough," said Volkmann.

Volkmann got some national attention following UFC 125 when he ripped Obama during a postfight interview (2:54 mark). Volkmann told AOL Fanhouse that he wanted his next fight to be against the President. He also called him an "idiot." To no one's surprise, Volkmann got a visit from the Secret Service just two days later. He was also reprimanded by the high school where he serves as an assistant wrestling coach. Volkmann got two weeks paid leave from his job.

The worst came from a brief television appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

"The hardest thing was the death threats and the emails and the calls, and my wife ... she was crying pretty hard," Volkmann said.

But he's not worried anymore about backlash. "I think that's over. Nobody cares [anymore], really. Who really cares, to be honest? I'm stating my opinion. Everyone's entitled to their opinion."

2012 MMA crystal ball: Where are these 34-somethings 12 months from now?

2012 MMA crystal ball: Where are these 34-somethings 12 months from now?Retirement is inevitable for every athlete. Whether it's voluntary or forced is up to the athlete. In fighting, it's too often forced. There's no exact age or time. Some guys have to walk away in their early 30's, others like the incredible Randy Couture, make it into their late 40's.

The end of the 2011 was unkind to several legends of MMA who are past their 34th birthdays. As a result, their careers are gasping for their last breath of air.

In 2012, we could see the end of the road for Tito Ortiz, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Matt Hughes. Then there's Brock Lesnar.

He's not a legend, but he is the pay-per-view king of the sport and yet his future could be in question following UFC 141. Lesnar has battled serious health issues and after his loss to Cain Velasquez 15 months ago, many question his passion for the sport.

During our "The MMA Insiders" show on ESPN1100/98.9 FM in Las Vegas, Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole, MMA analyst Frank Trigg and myself talked about who will be standing at the end of 2012.

Former UFC fighter Browning is big news in Thailand, finally turns himself in

Former UFC fighter Browning is big news in Thailand, finally turns himself in

Junie Brownie has been out of the UFC's hair for a while, but he's been back in the news over the last week. Apparently, it's a big deal in Thailand.

The former reality star on Season 8 of "The Ultimate Fighter" got into a big brouhaha at a bar in Phuket on Dec. 13. He fled the hospital where he was being treated for injuries, been missing ever since and the Thai papers are all over the story.

Police have mounted a Phuket-wide hunt for an American man who started one brawl in a Phuket bar then continued it in the emergency treatment ward at Patong Hospital. Police have named the suspect they wish to interview as Allen Browning, 26, a Thai boxer who fled into the night on Sunday in Patong and has not been seen since.

Earlier in the night, Mr Browning allegedly was seen beating up on an expat woman in a bar in Patak Road, Karon. He also lashed out at Thai female bar staff when they tried to intervene, police said.

Four other tourists from Australia and the US also attempted to intervene but Mr Browning lashed out at them, too, police said.

UPDATE: Browning finally showed up at the police station and turned himself in according to Phuketwan.com.

Former UFC fighter Browning is big news in Thailand, finally turns himself inOne of those tourist was Simon Menzies. Browning claims it was Menzies, who was the real troublemaker. Fightlinker discovered that Menzies was also in trouble with the law earlier this year during a flight from Sydney to Darwin.

Sydney man Simon Wilson Menzies, 31, was drunk and angry when he told the female cabin crew manager on a flight this week that he could "bring the plane down if he wanted."

Menzies said: "I'm half muslim, half Aboriginal and everyone else is a white [expletive]. I could [expletive] blow up the plane."

[...] The court heard Menzies was on Jetstar flight JQ81 from Brisbane to Darwin on Tuesday com when he became abusive after being refused a fourth beer.

The court heard he was refused service because he continued to be rowdy despite repeated warnings.

After he was refused service Menzies, who is 190cm and solidly built, stood over the cabin crew manager and told her to get the captain.

"Send the captain I will [expletive] smash him I'm the biggest guy on the plane," he said.

None of this comes as much of a shock with Browning. He was nearly kicked off TUF 8 several times for violent outbursts. He survived and was even given two more fights with the promotion.

In 2009, Browning was taken to a Las Vegas area hospital after what was reported to be a failed suicide attempt. He compounded his issue by allegedly attacking a female nurse at the hospital. The UFC immediately released him from his contract. He's gone 1-4 since his stint with the promotion and last fought in August. Frankly, right now fighting is the least of his problems.

Brock Lesnar charged with hunting violations in Canada

Brock Lesnar charged with hunting violations in Canada

Brock Lesnar is a huge fan of hunting, but his favorite pastime got him in a spot of trouble in Canada. Lesnar faces charges in Medicine Hat, Alberta for doing the kind of things that tick off hunting officials. From our friends at CJCY in Alberta:

The charges came before Medicine Hat Provincial Court Thursday morning and include improper affixation of tags, spoilage of skin and edible flesh and possession of a controlled animal.

My lack of hunting knowledge makes this sound pretty bad, because spoilage of skin and edible flesh sound like plot devices from "Silence of the Lambs." However, the good people of Canada must not be too angry with Lesnar, because his court date was continued until January, after his fight with Alistair Overeem.

Doctor: Big Nog Should Be Ready To Fight In Six Months

After getting his arm broken by Frank Mir at UFC 140, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira had surgery to mend the injury and following a successful procedure, Dr. Tom R. Hackett broke down what had to be done and when the former Champion can return to action:<Br><Br>

"Mr. Nogueira suffered a complex fracture to his humerus," Dr. Hackett wrote on the Nogueira brothers' blog (Nogueirabrothers.com.br). "The fracture began in the middle of the bone and extended to the elbow region. Unfortunately, the radial nerve [one of the main nerves lending a feeling of power to the hands] was damaged. The nerve is located in the area of the fracture, and the bone compressed it. Before the operation, he had very little strength in his hand and no strength whatsoever in his thumb.<Br><Br>

"The operation involved an incision behind the arm. The nerve was removed from the location of the fracture and treated. The fracture was fixed with a plate and 16 screws, and now, less than 12 hours post-op, his hand functions are returning and the bone is mending.<Br><Br>

"If all goes well, he'll be back to full training in the coming months and should be 100% to fight in six months or less. We foresee him making a complete and full recovery."<Br><Br>

UFC 140 postfight: Bonuses, Lesnar-Overeem rumors and flyweight division debuts on Mar. 3

UFC 140 postfight: Bonuses, Lesnar-Overeem rumors and flyweight division debuts on Mar. 3

With all the superlatives you can say about the fights this year in the UFC, tonight's event in Toronto may have produced the most spectacular set of finishes on the pay-per-view we've seen over the 12 months.

Chan Sung Jung knocked out Mark Hominick in just seven seconds and got the Knockout of the Night. Frank Mir posted a brilliant comeback and either broke and dislocated Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's arm. He got Submission of the Night. The main event between Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida was called the Fight of the Night. All bonus winners got $75,000. On top of that, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira appeared to have broken some ribs on Tito Ortiz during his big win.

- There was a rumor reported by Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole that Alistair Overeem was going to drop out of his Dec. 30 fight against Brock Lesnar at UFC 141. Dana White strongly denied the report and said he hadn't heard anything. Keep in mind, the possibility still exists. Last week, Overeem left his new training camp in Las Vegas to tend to his ailing mother back in the Netherlands. He's due at a Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing on Monday in Las Vegas.

- White announced the official start of the flyweight era begins Mar. 3, 2012. There will be two fights with the winners meeting for 125-pound title at a later date. Joe Benavidez will face Yasuhiro Urushitani and Demetrious Johnson battles Ian McCall. Urushitani will be making his Zuffa debut.

UFC 140 postfight: Bonuses, Lesnar-Overeem rumors and flyweight division debuts on Mar. 3- Tito Ortiz wants one more fight in the UFC. He was beaten badly by "Lil' Nog," but wants to go out a winner. White was non-committal when asked if he would give another fight to the UFC legend.

- Ortiz went to the hospital where he was joined by "Big Nog." He's a tough guy. Anyone who saw his arm snap would be surprised to see the same guy smiling in an ambulance.

Update: White said he still hadn't gotten official word on the nature of injury, but damage to both the shoulder and elbow would require surgery.

- The event at the Air Canada Centre hauled in a gate of $3.9 million and a total of 18,303 fans.

- Jones said he'd like four or five months off.

"Fighting three times in 2012 would be nice. My goal is to be a company guy. Please Dana gimme a break, though," laughed Jones. "I am actually going to take time off. My parents did a great job of raising me and my brothers. I want to give them magical vacation."

Jones was a go-to guy for the promotion this year fighting in February, March, October and December.

- Mir stirred the pot a bit in reference to the Overeem rumors saying he feels healthy and three weeks is plenty of time to get ready for UFC 143. He'd also like a shot against new UFC heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos and thinks the door is still open even though the Lesnar-Overeem winner has been promised the next shot.

"If Brock goes out there and lays on Overeem for three rounds, maybe I'll get it," said Mir.

- Mir commented on the duel of jiu-jitsu skills showcased his fight against the legendary Nogueira.

"He tried to do BJJ move for BJJ move with me, and the guys I train with are pretty good. I'm used to guys trying to roll through on my kimura. I had a strong inclination Nog wouldn't tap," said Mir.

The Las Vegan also said Nogueira would submit nine out of 10 guys caught in a guillotine, but he's No. 10.

- White said he told UFC matchmaker Joe Silva that he'd like a quick turnaround for the Korean Zombie.

Frank Mir says Alistair Overeem has little chance of staying on his feet against Brock Lesnar

Frank Mir says Alistair Overeem has little chance of staying on his feet against Brock LesnarWhen fellow fighters can't decide how a big tilt is going to shake out, you've got something big on the horizon.

Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal says Alistair Overeem has a solid shot of stopping Brock Lesnar's powerful takedowns. Frank Mir, a former opponent of Lesnar, says Overeem will be like a fish out of water at UFC 141 this Friday in Las Vegas.

Watch UFC 141 right here on Yahoo! Sports

If Overeem sprawls or tries to knee, it'll do him no good.

"Brock doesn't shoot that low. He'll put his forehead in your chest, and he's going to run you through. If he's not able to take you down with that initial blast, he's going to run you against the cage," Mir told "The MMA Insiders" on ESPN1100/98.9 FM in Las Vegas. "Then he's going to rip your legs out from under you. Now, you should have gotten taken down in the middle of the area, but instead, you've been taken down against the cage [where it is more dangerous]. Speaking from experience, that sucks."

Mir, was a state champion high school wrestler in Nevada. He was helpless on the ground, crunched against the cage. Overeem is about the same size as Mir. Is he stronger, with better technique? We may find out Friday night.

"Now, you have a guy who is not a black belt in jiu-jitsu and who is not a wrestling All-American who is going to be able to get back to his feet, so what does he do?" Mir said.

Mir said Overeem's background indicates little to say that he'll get back to his feet. He also worries about all the extra mass Overeem has added over the years.

"Are you going to try to tell me he's going to wrestle with a national champion wrestler for five minutes? His cardio is going to suck [after wrestling with Lesnar for a while]. I've seen guys with muscles like that, and that's why he slows down," said Mir.

Overeem has to catch Lesnar in the first 90 seconds or he's got little shot.

Not only did Mir question Overeem's chances to survive grappling, but he's not overly impressed with the guy that some say is the best striker in the heavyweight division. Lesnar may even do some damage standing. Mir pointed out that Overeem was hit a lot in his fight against Fabricio Werdum and tired badly half way through the fight.

Frank Mir says Alistair Overeem has little chance of staying on his feet against Brock Lesnar

This is such a cliche blog topic it almost makes me want to vomit just thinking about it. But, here I am, writing about it again anyway. See here’s the thing, everyone goes through these periods where they become acutely aware of their own mortality – as skydivers, this has a tendency to creep up [...]

Griffin says his Twitter warning was a warning for everyone

Griffin says his Twitter warning was a warning for everyoneMiguel Torres is gone. Let's hope it's a short stay in exile.

If he returns to the UFC, it won't erase what's gone down on Twitter with the fighters and it certainly doesn't mean that a future blow up isn't right around the corner. Managing verbal gaffes on Twitter will be an ongoing challenge for teams, sports and fight promotions.

Forrest Griffin, who sort began the whole Twitter flap with his rape joke/commentary last month on Twitter, says it really shouldn't be that difficult for the fighters to police themselves.

"You should know. You kind of should know. You have a feel for it. For me, it was like a three-hour thing. Three hours before anyone said anything to me, I realized 'I messed up. I shouldn't have said that,'" laughed Griffin. "Someone once said. Twitter is like internet porn, once it's out there, it's out there and there's no getting rid of it."

Griffin joined Stephan Bonnar in the FoxSportsRadio920 studios on Sunday to talk about the current state fighting in the Octagon and outside. Bonnar gave his take on what happened to Griffin, Rashad Evans and then Torres.

"It's one of those things where Forrest said something and everyone got mad. And it's like a little slap on the wrist for Forrest. Then Rashad said something, everyone got mad. Then it was like 'dammit you guys I warned you once.' Then Miguel said something, okay 'we need to make an example somebody.'"

Griffin suggested Torres should've known by then that any sort of sarcastic/joking tweet referencing rape was off limits.

"That was kind of the warning for me, was the warning for everyone. Don't do it. Just stop. It's not perceived well," Griffin told the MMA Fight Corner radio show.

The former light heavyweight champ still likes Twitter because it provides a good forum for discussions.

"I like to say things that are not necessarily inflammatory, but also kind of make you think a lot," said Griffin. "[...] My whole thing is I never meant to hurt people who've been hurt by that. I'm not the kind of person who'd want to hurt people who've been victims of a horrible crime."

Both Griffin and Bonnar appreciate the fact that the UFC has never censored the fighters, but they've definitely gotten the fact that Twitter can be a dangerous place with a fine line to walk.

Lesnar interview: Former champ says no one can avoid his takedowns

The clash of the titans is just over a week away. When Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem lock horns at UFC 141 you'll be seeing 521 pounds of beef in the Octagon.

Overeem is huge, but Lesnar still questions whether anyone can avoid his takedown game.

"Honestly I feel comfortable on my feet and I don't feel threatened in any area by this guy at all," Lesnar told ESPN1100/98.9 FM in Las Vegas. "There hasn't been anybody in the UFC that I haven't been able to take down. The issue is we just have to be able to keep them there."

On Overeem's troubles with the Nevada State Athletic Commission and his tardy prefight drug test, Lesnar said he barely kept up with the story. He was ready to face Overeem, Frank Mir or anyone else the UFC put in front of him. He was determined to fight on Dec. 30 come hell or high water.

Mark Munoz Talks Anderson Silva

<B>By MATT MOLGAARD<BR>
MMANEWS.COM Staff Writer</B><BR><BR>

Mark ?The Filipino Wrecking Machine? Munoz will get a chance to step into the number one contender slot when he faces Chael Sonnen at UFC on FOX 2. A win for Munoz all but guarantees a bout with champion Anderson Silva, and Munoz has plenty to say in regards to a potential clash with the dominant champion.<BR><BR>

?Anderson tends to have trouble with wrestlers. I?m a strong wrestler and I go out there and make it dirty. That?s exactly how Chael is. He goes out there, gets in your face and grinds out matches. I?m the same kind of fighter but I demonstrate more power. When we are on the ground you do not want me on top of you. I?m confident in every position and I?ve never been submitted in a fight.? stated Munoz while appearing on HeavyMMA?s Fight Day.<BR><BR>

?Fans haven?t had the opportunity to actually see my jiu-jitsu, but I have great jiu-jitsu defense which actually compliments my wrestling and allows me to do what I do best. The Donkey Kong comes out. I get on top of someone and then boom, boom, boom. It?s just what I do.?<BR><BR>

Munoz will learn his fate on January 28th, when he looks to knock Chael Sonnen out of title contention, which he seems hell bent on accomplishing. ?There are bounties for Chael down in Brazil,? Munoz explained. ?But he doesn?t have to worry about it, because he?s not going to have to go down there.?<BR><BR>

It's been months since Strikeforce's last main card event, but they are coming back with a doozy. Take a minute to watch this video and be reminded of how fun their cards can be.

Gilbert Melendez is on a five-fight win streak, and Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos is returning to the cage for the first time since June of 2010. Will they retain their belts, or lose them to Jorge Masvidal and Hiroko Yamanaka? Give us your predictions in the comments or on Facebook.

Strikeforce lives! A big month is on the way

Strikeforce lives! A big month is on the wayIn the cage, Frank Mir just pulled off what might be the best comeback of the month. Outside, it's looking like Strikeforce is ready to shock naysayers and move briskly into 2012.

You just never know in the world of mixed martial arts. Three months ago it looked like Strikeforce was running on fumes. Now as we close 2011, it appears Scott Coker's baby is getting a second wind.

The Zuffa-owned company has two fight cards scheduled over the next three weeks and what sounds like a new deal to announce with Showtime any day now.

This weekend, the Strikeforce card in San Diego is headlined by the guy who's arguably the best fight in the deepest division in the world.

Gilbert Melendez defends his lightweight title. The biggest female name in the sport returns as well when Cristiane "Cyborg" is back from a near 18-Month layoff. The San Diego card also has KJ Noons, and one of the most underrated light heavyweights in the world in Gegard Mousasi.

Three weeks later, Strikeforce returns to an old Zuffa stomping ground at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. It's a chance for the promotion to start building its young middleweight champ Luke Rockhold. Plus one of the best talkers in the biz is back when "King Mo" Lawal faces Lorenz Larkin. If Larkin has shored up his takedown defense, it'll be wild to see King Mo try and strike with the 12-0 striking whiz.

It's the beginning of what Dana White just about promised will be a big revival. He also made it clear that Strikeforce fighters won't feel like they're in the minor leagues.

"Gilbert Melendez and all the guys that are in the Strikeforce show and with Showtime, I will make this right," White said. "They will be happy to be there. Believe me. I've got this thing worked out. I've got it figured out. It's going to be good for everybody. It's going to be good for the fighters, it's going to be good for Showtime, and it's going to be good for Strikeforce. Trust me, I got this."

Appearing on HDNet's Inside MMA, Coker thinks Strikeforce is a very healthy brand with a deep roster of stars.

Get the fire burning: Watch latest ?The Reem? video

No one does it better than Camp Overeem when it comes to video blogs. The latest "The Reem" takes us all over the world as Alistair Overeem fulfills his press duties, meets American fans, goes face-to-face with Brock Lesnar and returns to Holland to take care of his mother, who is dealing with another cancer scare.

Overeem meets Lesnar this Friday at UFC 141 in Las Vegas. The sheer enormity of the fighters is a ridiculous site. It's the first time ever Lesnar appears a little bit smaller than his opponent. If this video doesn't get you fired up for the heavyweight clash, nothing will.

The end of the video is must watch material as Overeem deals with the emotional situation his mother is experiencing. You also get to meet his father, who's been living in England and recently relocated to Holland.

Jon Jones wins the chess match, puts Lyoto Machida to sleep to defend his title at UFC 140

Jon Jones wins the chess match, puts Lyoto Machida to sleep to defend his title at UFC 140

Jon Jones refers to the often brutal sport of mixed martial arts as "a game he loves to play." It's seems like a strange way to refer to MMA, but Jones showed again tonight that he's quickly becoming the master of the game.

The UFC champ was getting outmaneuvered early in the fight, but as always made the necessary moves to first cut Lyoto Machida and then turns the lights out with a standing guillotine in the second round to successfully defend his UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 140.

"He's just smart. He kicked really hard. He knew his range. He has great tactics and definitely he was a very tough puzzle," Jones told UFC analyst Joe Rogan.

Jones, who won the title back in March at UFC 128, has successfully defended in two times. All four of his wins in 2011 have come via stoppage.

Amazingly, he's posting these dominant victories by different means each time out. His physical gifts are off the charts, but it's the way he's mastering the mental game that makes him look more unbeatable each time out.

Machida (17-3, 9-3 UFC) is also a brilliant tactician, who really confused Jones in the opening round. The champ looked sloppy with his fists and landed a few leg kicks, but it was the challenger who landed the heaviest shots with a few well-timed flurries. When drilled Jones with overhand left with 5o seconds left, Machida locked up the first round.

"He didn't have me hurt, but he did punch me pretty good and it wobbled me a bit," Jones said. The champ looked at eating that punch as a positive. "It was good. One of my biggest critic points is that I can't take a punch, so I'm glad to prove it to myself, and to everyone that I can take a legit hit."

Jon Jones wins the chess match, puts Lyoto Machida to sleep to defend his title at UFC 140

Instead of turning up the aggression on Jones, Machida dialed it down a bit in the second. He let Jones get comfortable again.

With three minutes left in the round, Jones landed a right that stopped Machida in his tracks and worked the clinch for a big slam takedown. That's Jones' world and he immediately went to work from half guard. At 6-foot-4, Jones is a huge 2o5er. He imposed his size from the top and scraped a nasty elbow across Machida's forehead. The result was a deep gash that leaked blood into Machida's eyes.

"I know Lyoto's a black belt so I was expecting a lot more motion on the bottom, but he didn't move a lot and i was able to open him up," said Jones.

Machida got to his feet, the stop was stopped to check the cut for a few seconds and then reset. The fighters separated momentarily and both tried to throw the left hand. Machida's was a wide left hook and Jones was a short chopping left. The Jones shot landed and Machida went to his knees. His head was exposed as he stood back up where Jones landed a knee and locked on the standing guillotine along the cage.

The taller athlete cranked up and eventually Machida's right arm went limp. Referee John McCarthy stopped it and when Jones released the choke Machida fell flat on his face. He was out cold.

"It's not really a move that I practice. I think it's something that comes natural from wrestling for years. But yeah, it was a great lock. I realized that I had it, that I just needed to be tough and hold the position and eventually he'd run out."

Jones is showing off new weapons all the time. The fact that he finished off a top five light heavyweight with a move he's never practice is more proof of his greatness.

Lesnar vs. Overeem Fight Video: 'UFC Undisputed 3' Predicts Overeem KO

With Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem just a little more than a week away, THQ has provided a fight video simulation of the UFC 141 main event.

Truth be told, I have never been a big fan of these simulations. However, I couldn't help but feel intrigued by this one. I think this can only mean that I'm beyond excited to see these two beasts get it on next Friday night at UFC 141.

So after simulating the 25 bouts and coming up with some kind of average outcome, THQ determined that Overeem had a slight edge, winning via first-round knockout. Other highlights from the simulated fights:

* Lesnar attempted a total of 287 takedowns
* Two of Lesnar's 12 wins were by submission via arm triangle
* Overeem won by knockout 92 percent of the matches he won.

Anyhow, if you're into this sort of thing, and if you're as intrigued by this fight as I am, I suspect you'll enjoy watching the video below.
